Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: Grew up on the rolling prairies of Manitoba, Canada, but the city lights and vast diversity of city-life led me to Calgary.

Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: Besides a large reading of dystopian and russian literature I have a bachelor's degree in inter-cultural relations, and am working in research to alleviate barriers for working immigrant mothers.

Q: Links to your style networks?
A: http://wanderlustraveller.tumblr.com/

Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: a mix of bold, sleek, and street

Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: I shop zara, asos.com, boutiques, and anthropologie for the most part, but nothing makes me happier than finding a vintage piece tucked away in a thrift store.

Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: I usually have a few ideas of pieces I want for my wardrobe, an intentional buyer, so on my list is: satin bomber jacket, a red skater dress (tres feminine), and some bold coloured mules.

Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: street style to wear, but the runways---are completely inspirational.

Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I was told once to splurge on sheets and shoes...so I invest in flax linens and shoes for the winter (Calgary has very unpredictable weather!)

Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I spent my childhood playing dress-up as actresses in old hollywood--Katherine, Audrey, and Hitchcock heroines. I always felt what I wore could tell a story, or be a performance in itself. I am inspired by fashion blogs, and tumblr curators.

Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Christine Centenera (vogue australia), and Leandra Medine (man repeller), and eleonora carisi

Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A:
stockholm-streetstyle.com
street-aesthetic.tumblr.com
www.collagevintage.com

Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: I love that you can express an artistic style, command your own confidence to stand, change your emotional state, and communicate through your look. I don't think I can blame fashion itself for the obvious atrocities people use in securing a brand, or soothing consumerism, but people's response to fashion has its cruelties

Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: acne, celine, rad hourani, and mary katrantzou

Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: i've been rocking the nostalgia of the 90s choker, bodycon dresses, and wide leg trousers with bold prints lately

Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Always have an outstanding item that is the focal point, and the supporters of that piece to pull it all together. But most importantly, I ask myself if the outfit matches my frame of mind (bold, daring, casual, sensual, etc.)

Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: I'd be best at designing, worst at buying...

Q: What is your dream job?
A: designing / interiors to brands; I love envisioning and creating

Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I love being in the mountains with my crew of fellow adventurers; this includes camping, alpine hut hikes, canoeing, cross country skiing.I love good food, especially soft tacos, craft beer and an old fashioned cocktail. My friend Angel is the best story-teller, and I could sit around and listen to her talk all night by a roaring bonfire.
