A: I am currently studying psychology while working at a boutique as a stylist and blogging in my free time.
Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Modern, chic, minimal.
Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: Street style. Runway interests me more as an art form but I love dressing myself and others and I think personal style is such an awesome form of self expression.
Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I splurge on items like shoes, bags, coats, and unique pieces. I will skimp on anything if it's still made well and I like it.
Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I became interested in fashion when I was a toddler. I loved shopping and refused to let my mom dress me. I would put on little fashion shows for my family and have been in love with it since then. I am really inspired by architecture and its relativity to fashion and how garments move.
Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Jane Birkin, the Olsen twins, Gigi Hadid
Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: There are so many... We Wore What, Thrifts and Threads, The Zoe Report, Who What Wear, Man Repeller, The Haute Pursuit, Age of Minimalism, Rack and Rouge, Style Caster, Refinery 29, The Coveteur.
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: My favorite designers are Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, Rebecca Minkoff, Chloe, Proenza Schouler, Prada, Chanel, Raf Simons, to name a few. My favorite brands would have to be Zara and H&M. I can't count on those two stores to have good quality, good priced pieces that are always on trend.
Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: To me, trends are less important than having a personal style. I may wear and buy some trendy pieces but it will be mixed in with pieces that represent my own style.
Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Rules are the gateway drug to boredom! If it looks good and you love it, why not wear it?
Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: I would be a good buyer but I could honestly see myself in all of those professions. Designer would be the hardest but also the most fun!
Q: What is your dream job?
A: A fashion buyer but I would like to incorporate my knowledge of psychology into that field.
Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I love to read but rarely make enough time for it. I spend most of my time that I'm not working as a stylist, blogging, or going to school just listening to music or shopping. A perfect day would just be brunch then shopping topped off with a bubble bath and a sheet mask and then sleep!
