Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: I don't think I can distinguish my style to fit a certain category, I either will wear a simplisitc yet chic outfit, or wear something out of the ordinary just for the fun of it. I certainly think not going by a specific style has also made be more daring.
Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: Everywhere, but I'm in LOVE with fast fashion such as Zara, H&M and Forever 21.
Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: I would say $300 could buy me at least 7-10 wardrobe staples from Zara, so that's where my money would go!
Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: STREET STYLE! Especially when there's a little edge, yet the look is very effortless. It's also interesting to see how everyday women and men with a love for style dress themselves during Fashion Week.
Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I love splurging on great handbags, shoes and denim, but I'll skimp on trendy tops.
Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I remember the exact moment when I was six years old watching a documentary on the fashion industry. My aunt turned to me and showed my how to draw a fashion figure and she let me design the clothes for it; that is when I fell in love with fashion. And although now I am more interested in fashion marketing rather than design, I still find myself sketching a look from time to time!
I find inspiration from bloggers. Although they live luxurious lives that I can only dream of, their posts make it so easy to relate to them, and to see them as peers more than celebrities.
Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Aimee Song (songofstyle), Danielle (weworewhat) and Ashley Brookes.
Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: I love that regardless of the many outdated "rules to fashion" fashion icons and many stylists still prove that there are not rules and that style is limitless. But I don't love how polluting the industry is all together. As someone who strongly believes in environmental issues and creating a better planet, we need to come up with solutions for how this industry can be less polluting.
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: I love Stella McCartney's line because of how devoted she is to creating high fashion vegan handbags and clothing. I also truley admire Elie Saab because of her feminine and timeless pieces.
Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: I would be best at being a buyer since I have experience and education on that field, and have also shown the most passion for it. But I would not be very good as being a photographer, that's a talent I truly admire.
