Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I grew up in a small town in Denmark, but have recently moved to London.
Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: Currently I am studying Economics in London.
Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: My style is very diverse - always depending on my mood and my planned activities. But in general, I would say comfortable, clean (no prints please!), and business-like - with a constant effort to look effortless.
Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: Boutiques or department stores - I want to see combinations of designs, so that you don't end up with a complete outfit from just one brand! Vintage is very much appreciated as well, as long as it is reasonably priced (it isn't in London!). Never online - how can you know the quality of the fabric and the fit?
Q: What do you splurge on?
A: Splurge on accessories, no doubt. Noone is going to notice whether your white basic T-shirt was $10 or $100... Your bag and your earrings are a completely different story. Coats, as well, are a splurge item - it is the first you notice (Can you tell I'm from Scandinavia?). Remember, splurging does not necessarily mean buy brand items - it means buy high quality - especially for shoes in my opinion (I do love a nice CC on a bag though).
Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Anyone who looks effortlessly put together - It seems to be French women mostly. Basically any british Burberry model does the trick for me as well.
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: In love with all of the classics - Burberry, Mulberry, Chanel, Dior etc. - who isn't? Scandinavian brands are amazing as well for the expensive-but-still-affordable items. Claudie Pierlot, Jaeger, Tommy Hilfiger, and Whistles are worth mentioning too.
Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: I used to buy stacks of magazine to get the trends right for every new season in Denmark. Here in London, I get plenty of inspiration just from looking at people on the street. Individuality just seems so much more important over here!
Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: It really is just about feeling comfortable and to always dress for yourself. All black or prints on prints - that's up to you.
