Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I grew up in Long Beach (NY, not CA), and now live in Chelsea, New York, where I go to school.

Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: I am currently studying Fashion Merchandising Management at FIT, and am pursuing a minor in Spanish and Mathematics. I work at Club Monaco as a stylist, visual associate, and sales associate. I am also a marketing and styling intern at College Fashionista.

Q: Links to your style networks?
A: dolce-de-leche-and-gabbana.tumblr.com

Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Feminine, modern, classic, trendy

Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: I mostly shop at Club Monaco (that employee discount!), but I love saving up for a nice pair of shoes at Bergdorf Goodman.

Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: $300 wouldn't be enough for a pair of shoes at Bergdorf's, so I'd spend it at Club Monaco and use my discount. I'd buy one investment piece, like a cashmere wrap or wool coat, and then something smaller, like a dress or skirt.

Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: Street style! It's so much more realistic. I can't wear Elie Saab around Soho.

Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I splurge on shoes and things that will last a long time-basically anything that will result in a good cost-per-wear ratio. I buy my t-shirts at Club Monaco with my discount, so they end up being very affordable. Underwear and socks are also a great place to save money, but I do love a good La Perla visit every once in a while.

Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I've always loved fashion - my first word was "shoes"! I loved picking out my own outfits and going shopping while I was younger (and now as well obviously), pairing striped leggings with a star-studded shirt (pattern mixing at its best). I find inspiration everywhere, from magazines to blogs to my campus (I go to a fashion school) to Club Monaco (the mannequins are always so stylish).

Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: I love Eva Chen, the used-to-be editor in chief of Nylon Magazine - her style was so real and effortless, but always on point!

Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: I read EVERY fashion and beauty magazine out there, but my favorites are Instyle and Glamour. As for blogs, I love Man Repeller and Damsel in Dior.

Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: I love how fashion is such a great way to express yourself. What you wear and how you wear it says so much about you as a person, and we don't even realize the image we are projecting through our clothes most of the time. What I do not love, is the emphasis on being skinny. As a size 6, I'm not big, but I'm surrounded by size 0s and 2s. The fashion industry needs to be more accepting of the fact that women come in all shapes and sizes, and being "big" doesn't make you less stylish!

Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: I love Club Monaco, Rag & Bone, Theory, Suno, and APC.

Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: I only follow fashion trends that are not too out there (PVC Chanel shoes? no thank you). When I do follow trends, I pick pieces that will still make sense after the trend is over. I don't want to spend money on something if I won't wear it!

Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: I always start by picking out my bottoms. Do I want a skirt, pants, jeans? Or do I want to wear a dress. After I pick my bottoms, I make sure I know what the temperature will be like. Do I want a sweater or a tank top? Shoes come next, then a bag, then any other accessories. I always like to look at myself in the mirror and ask myself "What am I missing?" I'm all for easy and effortless, but I tend to dress in a very minimalist way, and I feel that sometimes I should add something. That something tends to be jewelry. I have 3 piercings in each ear lobe at all times, but I forget to add other jewelry. You can't go wrong with a watch that looks more like a bracelet.

Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: I hope to be a buyer, so hopefully that's what I am best at! I am a stylist now, and I feel I am good at it. I am also an amateur photographer, and while my pictures are not amazing, they're ok. I could never be a designer. While I do consider myself a creative person, I tend to need a solid direction along with some numbers/facts/data to go off of.

Q: What is your dream job?
A: I hope to be a shoe or intimate apparel buyer for a luxury department store. My absolute dream job would be at Bergdorf Goodman or Valentino.
