Q: Where do you shop: luxury or high street? Do you prefer: street style or runway?

A: I choose to mix clothes (new/old/purchased/given) as it gives more variety to my style. I prefer what I like to call wearable conceptual fashion which is street style with unique pieces inspired by the runway.

Q: Where does your interest for fashion comes from and how do you find inspiration?

A: My interest for fashion comes since I was young due to my familys fashion boutique/atelier. I find inspiration in everything that surrounds me; from culture to psychology to an event to a word or emotion. This helps my designs have meaning and takes me to a higher level as a designer.

Q: What are your favourite fashion magazines and designers?

A: My favourite fashion magazines are Vogue and Glamour. As for my favourite designers, I like Stephane Rolland for his construction and sophistication and Viktor& Rolf for their creativity and Valentino for fabric choice.

Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?

A: What I love about fashion is its freedom to transpose ones identity through clothing. Every outfit sends a message and embodies a certain image about the wearer. Is a way of communication, creation and innovation. What I dont like about fashion is when is not relevant or when it becomes standardised.

Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?

A: I take fashion trends as an example of whats in, but I dont follow trends unless I adjust it to fit my own style. I dont like when people copy each other and end up having the same look.

Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting outfits together?

A: I always put outfits together the night before the event/meeting etc as it gives me time to edit and play around with more options. As a rule, I follow my aesthetic and keep objective when composing an outfit.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: My dream job would be to have my own business, an atelier where I can create and manufacture my own designs with a program which allows students to come for internships. On top of this I would also like to have a fashion magazine/ blog where to express my view about lifestyle/ fashion/beauty/ health. Further, I would like my business to be in partnership with a charity foundation and some of the profit to go there.

Q: Which would you be best/worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)

A: I would be best at being a designer as it is what Im specialised in. However, I do have an eye for styling and I have done photography before. Buying is not within my domain, but I am quite economical and thoughtful when purchasing an item, qualities which will help me in retailing as well.

Q: What are your other interests and how do you spend your spare time?

A: I spend my spare time relaxing or doing something productive. I enjoy playing tennis, dancing salsa, travelling and everything that can become an experience and I can learn from it.
