Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: Currently I'm a junior with an Arts Management/Communications double major and a Psychology minor.

Q: Links to your style networks?
A: I operate a fashion blog on Tumblr where I reblog my favorite unique runway looks, editorials, and street fashion. It's called Statements In Basements, referencing the underground, underrated, and understated fashion that isn't getting enough recognition. You can check it out here: www.statementsinbasements.tumblr.com

Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Bold, evolving, quirky.

Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: Since I'm a poor college student, most of my clothes are actually pre-loved. I use a lot of online clothes-trading websites like Vinted but if I'm not shopping online, I only buy things if they're on sale!

Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: Both for different reasons: I love seeing ready-to-wear street fashion because I think it's fascinating to see everybody's personal style and how one person matches an item with something another person never would think of. Street fashion is more easily accessible and realistic. I love runway fashion though because it shows skill, texture, and ambition with gorgeous, otherworldly clothing.

Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I've been interested in fashion ever since I was little. I don't know where I first became inspired by it but in fifth grade, I pretended I had a fashion line called SAPPHIRE and would design all my looks in this little blue binder I had. A few years later, I maintained a sketchbook where I did fashion research. Now, I have a few different books for designing and making fashion collages. I'm a creative person in general so I'm just always fascinated by clothing, what it means to people, and how they style themselves.

Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: Georges Hobeika, Elie Saab, Ralph & Russo, Marchesa, Reem Acra, Dolce & Gabbana, Blumarine, Emanuel Ungaro, Zuhair Murad, Versace.

Q: What is your dream job?
A: In fashion, I've always wanted to be a stylist because I love putting looks together more than anything, a fashion photographer, a creative director, a modeling scout, and a fashion designer (unfortunately I'm completely artistically inept so that'll never happen!).

Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I love music which is why I'm studying arts management. I'm musically inept but I launched a music review website a few years ago that has gotten a lot of attention so I try to maintain that while I'm in school. I recently found out that I LOVE arts marketing, especially market research, so hopefully I will continue developing my skills and interests in that as well. I also love to read and have officially read over 100 books in 2015!
