Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I grew up mostly in State College, PA, but I live in Cincinnati, OH currently.

Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: I'm in college majoring in fashion design.

Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Minimalistic, edgy, unexpected

Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: I love a good bargain! Thrift stores, TjMaxx, Marshall's, etc. are my speed. I love finding good deals online too.

Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: I'd stretch it to the max. I could probably get a good 15-20 items from that.

Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: I like looking at the runways and seeing how people interpret the trends.

Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I splurge on shoes. I have big feet, so there's not a lot of cheap options. I skimp on jewelry. I like to shop at places like Forever21 and Charming Charlie's for trendy rings and necklaces.

Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I've always been interested in fashion since I was a little girl. My favorite childhood photo of me is of my dressed in a pink sequined top, silk sky blue shorts, kitten heels with a feather attached, and a tiara on my head. It wasn't until 13 I realized fashion could be a career though. I find my inspiration from street style (ChicFeed app, Instagram, etc.) as well as editorial spreads I see in magazines.

Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, Solange Knowles.

Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: I really like fashionbombdaily.com because it's one of few blogs/websites focused on black fashion news, black celebrities, black designers, etc. Instyle, Glamour, and Marie Claire.

Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: I love how creative it can be. There are so many different ways to express yourself with clothes, and I like that everyday is a new chance to try something new with my style. I don't like how fast the fashion industry can be, and it's only getting faster. There's an ethical problem with that, because a lot of times quicker production means less quality, but also unfair treatment of the garment workers creating these clothes. The majority of clothes aren't being made in the U.S. like they used to. The garment industry is outsourced to places like China and Indonesia, where the workers are paid meager wages, can barely afford to live, and work something like 14+ hours a day. It's disgusting. I'm personally trying to do better when it comes to purchasing ethical fashion.

Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: Elizabeth and James, Celine, Opening Ceremony, Zimmerman, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Giles, just to name a few.

Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: I don't think "follow" is the right word. If I like a trend, then yes, I'll put my own take on it. Right now I'm loving the athletic vibe going on. It's so fun to piece together a really well layered and feminine outfit and then throw on sneakers.

Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: I need to be comfortable.

Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: I'd be best at being a stylist.

Q: What is your dream job?
A: My dream job is to be an editorial fashion stylist at a major magazine.

Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I like to workout. I run, do pilates, yoga, and zumba. I also love to read and of course watch Netflix! Currently, I'm watching Prison Break, Orange is the New Black, and Veep.
