Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I grew up in a little village in Stoke-on-Trent England but I have dreams bigger than the city so I moved to Liverpool.
Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: I studied a art and design course to become a tattoo artist but I fell in love with learning about fashion so I decided to apply for a fashion course at Liverpool John Moores Uni and I am now currently in my second year of the course.
Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Tailored, Black, Simple, Oversized.
Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: I like to shop in a mixture of stores, mostly high street and vintage stores and they have the best clothing for my style. I do live close to Liverpool one and Cheshire oaks is only a bus ride away so I live in the middle of such great shopping opportunities, so I always shop even if it's only window shopping!
Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: It completely depends on what mood I'm in because sometimes I can spend 300 on several items but I could go and buy one single item, I suppose it depends what my wardrobe is missing!
Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: I adore runway style, I love how out there and wild it can be where as street style can get very repetitive and maybe a little boring.
Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I always splurge on coats, I have over 50 coats or jackets! Most that I don't even wear but if I find even a little detail on it that I like I have to have it even if it's not my style! Haha, I would say I skimp on t-shirts as I am a big fan of just a plain black or plain white tee, so I'm not afraid to just buy 5 for 10 in a department store.
Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: i have always had a weird and quirky style, since the age of 15 I always used to stud, rip and dye my clothes! But I would always look at what other people are wearing, for example I am currently on the hunt for a perfect denim duffer coat as I saw a woman wearing on in May but it's taking a while for me to find one I really like.
Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: I don't particularly have a style icon, I can appreciate what other people wear and I love other people's styles but I think it's important to stay individual and style yourself on you and your body.
Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: I have my own street style blog on Instagram and a couture fashion blog on tumblr and I follow hundreds of amazing blogs so I can't think of any particular off the top of my head!
Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: I love how you can get to know an individual on what they're wearing and I love that there are so many different wears to wear an outfit or garment! But I don't love that the women's fashion industry has such a wider styles and they can also get away with wearing men's clothes but as a man if I was to wear a pencil skirt that would be seen as "wrongly I suppose and I think we need to knock down those barriers and have a gender neutral fashion industry!
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: my favourite brands would have to be Dior, Versace and Chanel! The main ones, but for my personal style I love Topman and Topshop! As they have such a wide tangle of clothes.
Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: I don't think I follow many trends but I like to keep with the colours of each season but on in slight hints as my wardrobe is mostly black but atm I have a lot of camel accessories.
Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Never mix different shades of black or white, it can work with any other colours but with those two it can make the lighter colours look either faded or just dirty! Also, plan the WHOLE outfit, socks and bags included because the wrong bag or wrong socks can ruin an outfit.
Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: I would defiantly be best at designing and styling as it's something I have been taught and teach myself! But I don't think I'd be best at being a buyer because I can only buy for myself not for a general group of people!
Q: What is your dream job?
A: To own my own couture brand, with focus on creative designer street wear. Blurring different barriers in fashion, like gender and business wear and evening wear.
Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I am completely inspired by makeup and trends in makeup and I am an aspiring drag queen!
