A: Both. Street style is obviously more wearable daily, but runway fashion is creative and innovative, especially when the pieces/themes are understood.
Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I tend to splurge on make-up and tops. I avoid buying trousers and shoes, not sure why. I think the price tags just look so hefty. I'm trying to invest on shoes and trousers now, though.
Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: Ever since young, I've always been interested in fashion. I wanted to become a fashion designer, but I didn't really understood fashion well, given that I was basically 6 years-old. I regained my interest in fashion in late 2013 after being curious about Cara Delevingne that brought me to the VSFS 2012 and that furthered to many fashion runways.
Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: Fashion Magazine is actually my favourite as of now. I love stalking Margaret Zhang's shinebythree and Kristina Bazan's kayture.
Q: What do you love about fashion?
A: I love that fashion allows you to express yourself without saying a word. Fashion is like first impressions; it's the first thing you notice on a person and it gives you a prejudgement of that person. I can be whoever I want to be through fashion.
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Zuhair Murad are some of my favourite fashion houses. For brands, it's probably H&M, Zara, and Topshop.
Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: I try to keep up with street style since it's direct and wearable. I do keep a keen eye on high fashion by watching their runways and reading their reviews.
Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Constancy and balance. Keep your outfit on the same theme and balance out the pieces so that it won't be extremely overwhelming.
Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: Obviously, I'm not a professional, but I do have an interest in every aspects of fashion, or on the occupations provided above. There is actually one thing I loath, and that is making the clothes: sewing, cutting, putting the pieces together and thinking about the engineering/math behind it; I suck at that.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: Fashion editor.
Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: My other career path is history and English. I love reading books and writing. I sing, sometimes, not that well.
