Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I grew up in Metro Manila, and I've always lived here save for the 4 months I lived in Alcala de Henares, Spain for a study program.

Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: I graduated with a degree in Legal Management, though now I do marketing for a service & retail oriented brand. Ah, we all decide our life's direction!

Q: Links to your style networks?
A:
Blog: www.kolleenferia.com
Tumblr: kolleenf.tumblr.com

Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Always in my own skin

Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: High street until I can afford luxury. Online shopping is a dream, but it's always convenient to be able to fit pieces. New and vintage, I don't really mind as long as it's well-made, looks great, fits like a glove.

Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A:) I can stretch that to 3-5 items.

Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: The street is a runway!

Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: Tailored pants are always worth the splurge. Comfortable shoes as well. Skimp is such a strong word!

Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: Definitely in high school. I can't pin point how-- maybe through magazines. The visuals always drew me in. I find inspiration in my mood, my environment.

Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Rumi Neely for her no-fuss style; Jackie O for her timelessness.

Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: Blogs: fashiontoast.com; manrepeller.com; fiveinchandup.blogspot.com
Magazines: Locally- Preview, L'Officiel Manila, Esquire; Internationally- Travel Almanac, Fantastic Man, The Gentlewoman

Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: You can express yourself tangibly. Visually. And you can always change it up! What I don't love? The politics of the industry. The back-end implications-- sweatshop workers and child laborers.

Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: Chloe, Isabel Marant, Acne Studios. But I can't afford them yet. Zara is a god send! Locally I love Carisse by Carmen Araneta, and Undo by Kyla Zuiga. I'm so excited for the local fashion industry here in the Philippines!

Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: When they suit me and when I'm comfortable in them. The sneaker come-back from when norm core was in is still something I'm digging, and I love the loose silhouettes of the 70s.

Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: I have to be comfortable leaving the house, no matter what it is I decide to throw on.

Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: Buyer.

Q: What is your dream job?
A: To be a fashion merchandiser that focuses on growing local brands.

Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: Fitness (even if my endomorph body doesn't quite serve as a testament yet), and reading. I love reading.
