A: I am 16 and am currently junior in high school. In school my favorite subjects are French and History.
Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: If I could describe my style in 3words it would be; chic, elegant, simple.
Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: I shop at Bloomingdales, J.Crew, Joie and Urban Outfitters. I'd rather go shopping and try things on than ordering it online. Also when I buy something I want it that instant instead of waiting a couple days or a week for it.
Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: If I had $300 dollars I would buy stuff depending on how I feel that day. Maybe I will splurge on a great pair of shoes or a bunch of cute shirts. Trust me my mood changes every day!
Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: I love street style because it is more everyday and I can chose my outfit based on it, but I prefer runway fashion. I just love the way it looks and the elegant feel it appears to be. When I am older I want to be a gown/dress designer!
Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: When I am splurging on something (most of the time) I usually go for a great pair of shoes or a great pair of jeans. Jeans are something that you can have for years at a time and they still look great. But on the other hand, who doesn't want to show off a great pair of shoes they just got?! My mom just came back from Paris (so jealous, she should've taken me) and brought me home a beautiful pair of Chanel Espadrilles! I can't express my feelings, I am obsessed with them! Its winter where I live right now and I am so bummed that I can't wear them outside because they will get ruined so I as soon as I get home from school I put them on and prance around my house with them!
Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I have been interested in fashion since I was a little girl. In fact my first word was shoe! It has been a dream of mine to become a designer when I am older and I hope my dream comes true! I find my inspiration by looking through fashion magazines, social media; instagram, tumblr, twitter,etc.
Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: I would have to say right now my style icons are Gigi Hadid and of course Rachel Zoe. Gigi Hadid is the perfect example of wearing something totally casual but it always appears to look great. She is also very natural which I love, it really shows younger girls that you are beautiful without packing on foundation and tons of makeup. I think she will be somebody who is going to change the idea of makeup in the younger generation. In my grade most of us wear mascara, eye liner and some blush and light foundation power, but the freshman have a full face of cakey makeup and I'm sorry but it looks gross. Young girls wipe your faces off and show off your skin, because I'm telling you it is beautiful! Rachel Zoe is somebody who is totally different. She is always dressed and looks like she is going to a show at Fashion Week. I love that about her because it totally fits her personality.
Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: I love looking at Vogue, Elle and Instyle.
Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: The thing I love about fashion is that everybody has their personal style. What looks good on your friend might not look good on you. Your style is based on your personality which describes who you are as a person.
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: My favorite designers are Rachel Zoe and Karl Lagerfeld. My favorite brands are J.Crew, Joie, etc.
Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: Right now the trend I am following is the slip on sneakers, and adidas. I think you can wear slip on sneakers with anything and by the color they can make the outfit casual or a little fancy. Again, this doesn't work for everybody's style but it is something that I love!
Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Of course I have fashion rules. When I am putting an outfit together it always depends on the weather and my mood when I wake up. One thing I NEVER do is wear leggings. I just think they look so ugly and when I see somebody wearing leggings I just feel like they didn't try. Your outfit definitely is something that will make your mood good or bad. Whenever I don't like my outfit I have the worst mood and my friend gets concerned that I am sick.
Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: I am best at styling and designing. I am defiantly not a good photographer.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: My dream job is to be a fashion designer/ stylist
Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I am also interested in the entertainment world; like T.V. and T.V. production.
In my spare time I hangout with friends and go shopping.
