Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: I'm in my first year of university studying English and Communications for a career, hopefully, in journalism! More specifically in fashion.
Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Sophisticated, casual, vintage, chic.
Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: As a student who spends any extra money on clothes and travelling, it's hard to buy the brands I'm obsessed with - Burberry, Chanel, etc- so I usually shop at American Eagle Outfitters (where I'm employed as a sales associate), H&M, Topshop, American Apparel.
Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: As many as possible!!
Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: To wear, I prefer street style but there's not much more I love to admire than runway fashion.
Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: SHOES!
Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: As a fan of One Direction, I've admired the brands and fashion choices made by Harry Styles! Burberry, Ralph Lauren, St. Laurent, etc. Burberry was my first love. I've watched the shows, added over 20 items to my wish list... Then when I'd heard that NYFW was starting, I'd decided to watch EVERY show and I've studied the brands and began following models, specifically Taylor Hill, Lucky Blue Smith, ALEXA CHUNG- MY GODDESS.
Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Kendall Jenner, Lauren Elizabeth, Shay Mitchell, Danielle Peazer, Cara Delevingne, Alexa Chung, Zhenya Katava, etc.
Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: Vogue, always; WhoWhatWear.com, Lauren Elizabeth's haul videos, Bazaar, Elle.
Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: EVERYTHING! The ideas, the colours, the time lapses (how the 70's are being brought back in F/W15), the models, the designers, THE ART.
Dislikes: many people's perception of fashion. A lot of people believe the industry is snobby and are very critical.
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: Burberry, BALENCIAGA, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Dolce & Gabbana, etc.
Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: Sure. The whole "bringing 90's back with crop tops and acid wash 'boyfriend jeans'," moto jackets, long jackets. (Outerwear is nearly my most favourite article of clothing.)
Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Nordstrom's "third piece rule!" - wear outfits on comprised of three pieces, not including your shoes. Pants and top are your first and second pieces, and your third piece is an extra outfit element such as a jacket, blazer, sweater, vest or statement accessory.
Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: Working in a clothing store, I excel at styling! I also enjoy photographing and writing. I suppose I also excel at buying, if I have the money. Good for the brand, not for me... Haha!
Q: What is your dream job?
A: Writing for a blog or magazine on fashion and/or travel, interviewing designers and/or models, working with social media and pop. culture.
