Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: I would describe my style as: Parisian, Classic, Street and Comfy
However, I often think WWRW? What would Rihanna wear?
Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: I prefer to shop at local boutiques first then my next option is online. I still have college debt I have to pay off. :( Plus, I live in the middle of nowhere! It might be different when I move to a bigger city.
Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: Oh! I would want at least 6 items! I want an entire outfit with $300.
Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: Street fashion for everyday wear and Runway for inspirational wear.
Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: The best advice I have ever gotten was splurge on handbags, lingerie and special occasion heels. For everyday heels, stick with comfortably priced suede because heels worn for everyday tend to wear down quicker, but a suede or even faux suede still looks expensive without having to splurge!
Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I first fell in love with fashion when I was in high school. I despised the sweat pants, Victoria Secret Tshirt and Ugg boot look. I wanted to be different and be a fashion role model toward my fellow classmates. I was a little emo in highschool and so my inspiration for fashion was a mix of alternative rock and Parisian chic. I still love black. In fact my closet mostly consists of black and grey clothing.
Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Rihanna is my girl. She is the first person I look up to for inspiration. Next, I would say, DVF.
Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: Whowhatwear is the main fashion blog/ website I gather all my fashion info. I do have a soft spot for Vogue, Wendy's lookbook and InStyle.
Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: I love the creative freedom that fashion allows. Not to mention, I like how fashion can help boost self confidence and really show ones beauty inside and out.
Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: I love Diane Von Furstenberg. She is just so elegant and effortless. I love, love, love H&M, too!
Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: I don't follow trends as much, maybe the ones that deal with fun handbags and graphic tees. I do dislike the gold and silver "flash tats". I think they look cheap and only meant for young high schoolers. (Shuddering)
Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: I always ask myself in the morning, " How am I feeling? What tone do I want to put out? Am I feeling sexy, classy, slouchy, hipstery?" So my advice: Dress whatever mood you are feeling or want to feel.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: My dream job would be either a Stylist or a creative director for a reputable fashion magazine.
Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I love baking. I think I spend most of my time baking French Macarons (They are my sole weakness). I also spend a lot of my time cuddling with my Shih Tzu named Chunkins. I am also a huge tea enthusiast. I collect tons of unique teas.
