Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I've grown up, been raised and am still living in the central valley of California!

Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: I'm currently studying Fashion Merchandising at my university, as that it also my major.

Q: Links to your style networks?
A: My fashion tumblr: xoellena.tumblr.com
My instagram is @ellenphetsa :)

Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: Simple, chic, minimal & modern.

Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: I shop at so many places! I'm constantly looking for ways to tweak my style. I don't want to stick with the same thing forever, I want to look around and see what I'm into. I can shop luxury (rarely, I'm a college student). I'm also very new and modern with my style. Also, I've recently gotten into boutiques! Oh, and online shopping is me all day (more like window shopping though).

Q: If you had $300 for a shopping spree, how many items would you buy?
A: A lot. I'm constantly on the lookout for sales. I'm not a super cheap person, but I can also find some really good deals. Although, sometimes I won't pass up that expensive piece if I feel it can be a staple.

Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: Definitely both. I would have said runway fashion a year ago, but I've recently started getting into street style. My taste is always changing.

Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I splurge on luxurious items such as a beautiful quality purse, shoes and outerwear. I feel like those things everyone should spend a little extra on. Although, I don't believe a person needs to buy a t-shirt for anywhere over $20. There's so many cheaper options that can still have great quality. Also, I won't spend too much on jeans. I refuse, haha. I've only bought affordable jeans and I still wear some to this day years later!

Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: I think I really began to have a serious interest in fashion my senior year in high school. I was under the stress of college applications and not knowing what I wanted to do with my life or what to major in. My boyfriend knew I was into fashion, but I always pushed it off thinking I could never have a career in that industry. But, I knew it was the only thing I was truly passionate about, so I went for it!

As for inspiration, I would say most of it comes from fashion bloggers. There's only a few I really admire and look up to. Either in their fashion taste, and/or their drive and motivation.

Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (THE BEST)
Aimee Song
Kristina Bazan
(.. and probably more, but I'm drawing up blank)

Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: My ultimate favorite would be Kristina Bazan's blog, Kayture! She creates SUCH amazing content. Also, a few tumblr blogs I follow. I actually don't read a lot of fashion magazines.. I know, gasp! But that doesn't mean I don't like them. I do, I'll occasionally look through some Vogue. ;)

Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: Freedom of expression. Freedom to switch up your style. Wear street style one day and the next designer. How much fun it really is to be able to play around with clothes & see what I'm into.

Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Don't go overboard. Never pack on too much necklaces to the point where it covers most of my neck and takes away the attention from my outfit. Although, lots of rings is okay in my book. Oddly enough, I do go based on weather a lot. Put some edge to a classy look.

Q: Which would you be best at? Worst at? (Stylist, Designer, Photographer, Buyer)
A: In order from best to worst: Stylist, Buyer, Photographer, Designer.
I love trying to figure out what pieces go best with what. I also would love to be a buyer for a company some day. I've always appreciated and loved photography too. Although, I can lack creativity and couldn't keep up with being a designer!

Q: What is your dream job?
A: Couldn't say at this moment. I would say that I would like to be able to wear more than one hat in this industry.
