Q: Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?
A: I grew up in NJ, went to school in upstate NY, and now live in Brooklyn.

Q: What have you studied, and what are you doing now?
A: I studied industrial and interaction design and now freelance as a visual designer dabbling in art direction as well as illustration.

Q: How would you describe your personal style in 3-5 words?
A: minimal, feminine, yet casual.

Q: Where do you shop? Luxury or high street? New or vintage? Boutiques? Online?
A: Mostly Zara, UO, or some vintage finds. I'm wary about shopping online because the fit is always different.

Q: Do you prefer street style fashion or runway fashion?
A: Definitely street style. Runway fashion is pretty uncommon to come across in person unless you're working in the field. You see bloggers emulate trends from the runway in their photo shoots via Instagram or their blogs which all embody a similar aesthetic. I'm much more inspired by what people are wearing in real life on their day to day basis. You get a sense of how they incorporate their own flair and unique twist to the current trends. There's a practicality to street style that I appreciate.

Q: What do you splurge on? Skimp on?
A: I tend to splurge on makeup products. More than I would like to admit haha. But I think it's incredibly important to invest in products that take care of your skin, especially your face for long lasting benefits. I'll usually skimp on hair and nail products. My hair and nails grow pretty fast so I end up being low maintenance on those two.

Q: When and how did you become interested in fashion, and where do you find your inspiration?
A: Like many of the women on this platform, a part of me has always been interested in fashion. From a young age I realized the impact and power fashion had to transform a person, or at least the way they are perceived by the public. In high school I referred a lot to Lookbook to get a sense of what other fashionistas around the world were wearing. After college and being in the city, I come across most of my fashion feed from Instagram or other digital mediums online.

Q: Who are your favorite style icon(s)?
A: A classic will always be Audrey Hepburn. Contemporary icons are Jenny Ong from Neon Blush and Jessica Walsh from Sagmeister and Walsh. From time to time I'll creep on what the fashion trends are in Korea since they are usually a season ahead of the States.

Q: What are your favorite fashion blogs? Magazines?
A: I'm a big fan of i-d magazine. They do a killer job at presenting fresh, edgy content. The video series they produce on Youtube are worth checking out.

Q: What do you love about fashion? Not love?
A: You don't have to be pretty, skinny, or even a model to be a part of fashion. Fashion is meant to be embraced and adopted by all different kinds of people. Everyone has something unique to say in this massive field and it serves as the perfect creative outlet for people to express themselves, collaborate with others, and really enjoy the experience fashion offers.

Q: Your favorite designers & brands?
A: Yohji Yamamoto and Jeremy Scott are two that immediately come to mind. They both have a real sense of who they are, what their message is through the medium of fashion, and what drives them to create iconic work. They are also designers you would not peg as traditional 'fashion designers'.

Q: Do you follow fashion trends? Which ones?
A: I do follow trends but I try not to get too obsessed over buying certain articles of clothing in style this season, you end up looking like everyone else. Also trends come and go like everything else, and c'mon the 90's are back in style. Fashion always recycles itself, it's only a matter of timing.

Q: Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
A: Whether it's heels, an old t-shirt, or a new dress... it's important to wear what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. It's also good to push yourself out of your comfort zone every once in a while and try experimenting with new bold looks. Fashion is suppose to be fun.

Q: What are your other interests? How do you spend your spare time?
A: I really enjoy baking, making videos, writing, and coming up with personal projects to fuel my appetite for creative work.
